Q-Switch Laser x The Clifford Clinic Review

Hi guys! *waves*

Most of you will probably know by now, I've been with The Clifford Clinic, doing Q-Switch Laser with Dr Gerard Ee for a couple months now ridding my depressed and red acne scars agitated and derived from using the wrong products back in my younger days..

Every day before heading out, I HAVE TO pile on super high coverage concealer and base make up to hide the imperfections, some days when it's really, really extra angry, even a 'sibeh bochup' person like me would honestly actually feel.. Ugly even.

Especially on days when I get a fresh bout of acne outbreaks with the mixture of 3D x depressed scars. I tried many methods, from expensive creams, to all sort of DIY treatments. Nothing is exactly a long-term solution though. I'd get ecstatic for a while when it's under control. But eventually my acne are like cockroaches, they seem to 'develop immunity' to the 'cure'.

So I am very very very glad I took videos to document in between sessions through my entire journey, and when I go through them all, there really ARE the differences from Day 1, but most importantly, no massive backsliding of my condition, which truthfully is the most important. :)

First, let me introduce you to The Clifford Clinic!

Everyone dodging my camera, haha!

But first, what exactly is Q-Switch Laser Treatment?

Q-Switch Laser is used in various procedures: The laser is a beam of energy at specific wavelength which is applied to the skin and absorbed by colored pigments such as freckles, sun spots, age spots, etc. in the skin.

The power settings of the laser can be set at different levels and frequencies to accommodate your specific condition and expectations.

What is it used for?

- Pigmentation (such as freckles, sun spots, age spots, brown spots, melasma, birthmarks)
- Acne marks
- Fairer skin
- Skin rejuvenation
- Pimples and acne
- Tattoo removal

How does it work?

Pigmentation – the laser energy is absorbed by the pigments (usually brown, or grey in colour). These pigmentation break off into smaller fragments and are naturally cleared away by the body and skin.

Acne marks – acne marks are caused by inflammation (the redness and pain) from pimples. The inflammation causes the skin to produce pigments. These pigments are cause of acne marks, which can be effectively removed with the laser.

Fairer skin – the color of our skin is also determined by the amount of skin pigments. Darker skin people or people who go sun tanning often have more skin pigments. The laser, at the correct setting, helps lighten the skin tone and makes it fairer and brighter.

Skin rejuvenation – the laser uses its energy to remove dirt, dead skin cells, oil and superficial facial hair. Take this as a quick, effective and multi-purposed medical facial.

Pimples and acne – the laser energy can also kill P-acne, which is the bacteria that cause pimples and acne. At the same time, the laser energy also shrinks the oil glands in the skin and helps with oil control. Pimples and acne also tend to be less inflamed after laser treatments and this reduces the amount of acne marks after a breakout.

Tattoo removal – tattoo inks are foreign pigments introduced into the body. Like natural skin pigmentation, the laser energy breaks down the tattoo ink and removes the tattoo.

What can you expect?

Prevention and treating of pimples and acne.
Less outbreaks in future.
Better oil control.
Fairer and brighter skin.
Complete clearance of tattoos (depending on ink color)

So here are my super before photos:

What happened was that when I was.. 18 - 19(?) Back then I didn't have much problems with my skin truthfully. But I 'geh kiang' and bought a soap bar from this Facebook seller called Nabilah-something(?) who had HUNDREDS of 'good reviews' supposedly from very satisfied customers. Long story short.

My face exploded into a hellhole of acne outbreaks. Until I cut it off.

But still, damage was done, I had no idea how to deal with them and desperation drove me to squeezing them all for instant gratification and 'eradication'. Forming all my depressed, brown scarring and pits. I hated them. Here:

So here it goes! I do Q-Switch Laser religiously with Dr Gerard Ee fortnightly (the photos below are taken towards the back when my skin has improved tremendously):

Poor Dr Ee getting annoyed by me every 2 weeks.

Removing my residual make up properly.

And here we go!

No numbing cream is needed, and I'd rate the pain level like: 0.5/10?
I can seriously fall asleep if there's enough time.

And here is my ultimate journey of Q-Switch lasers since day 1!

Screenshots of process grabbed directly from the video to remain authentic (so quality is pretty low):

Fixing aesthetic issues like acne takes time, there is no magical wave of wand for a miraculous instant cure. But with Q-Switch Laser at Clifford Clinic, slowly but surely. Looking back, I surprise myself with the improvements. :)

Here are the most updated results post Q-Switch!

So what are my favorite advantages of Q-Switch?

One of what I maximumest (My new favorite made up word) LOVE about The Clifford Clinic is that it's smack right in the middle of CBD area, and soso convenient to head out right after to anywhere for dates or with friends. Which brings me to the next point.

The downtime is minimal. And by minimal I mean, I can walk out without foundation, to gatherings, drink, or pole-dance straightaway. (the last which I done countless times)

It is time-saving. It is a no-frills treatment. Each session for me is like 5 - 10 minutes and I am done! Basically Q-Switch minimized thermal damage on the skin and only destroys selective pigments, reduces large pores, fine lines, improves skin texture and tone altogether. So much goodness packed in 10 minutes. Love it!

Really eternally thankful for the maintenance to having beautiful skin done by The Clifford Clinic and team. Right now I'm trying their Zlipo Fats Freeze treatment and their chin fillers soon, can't wait to share on the results soon.

xx
